C. R. house
or the wooden clogs apartment
The apartment is located in one of the most panoramic Genoa’s neighborhood and those view qualities become design tools for improving the whole flat. The apartment is designed on a liner axe which connects the opposite sides of the house: from the sea view side, to the green hill; from the chaotic city, to the soothing hidden garden.
The light becomes crucial. The sunlight can goes through all the rooms thanks to the new open space where living and dining room are placed, while the artificial light characterizes the hall by using a liner light system in order to emphasize the direction.
Traditional and contemporary elements are put closer creating an unusual balance: that is particularly evident on the floors where the wood is interrupted by some original floor pieces thought as grit carpets on the parquet.
